Praevo Advisory, LLC (“Praevo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this appraisal platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to the people and organizations who use the platform. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect information needed to deliver appraisal services and operate the platform. This includes account and contact details (such as name, email address, phone number, and role); property and assignment information provided by clients and appraisal management companies; field inspection data and photographs submitted by inspectors; appraiser credentials and electronic signatures; and technical information such as log data, device and browser details, and the time and network address associated with certain actions. We do not intentionally collect information beyond what an appraisal assignment and applicable professional standards require.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to create and manage appraisal jobs; to compile, review, sign, and deliver appraisal reports; to authenticate users and secure the platform; to maintain the workfile and audit records required by professional and regulatory standards; to communicate with users about their assignments; and to operate, maintain, and improve the platform. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to provide the service: with the client or appraisal management company associated with an assignment; with authorized users within the engaging organization; with service providers who host, secure, or support the platform under confidentiality obligations; and when required by law, regulation, legal process, or a lawful request from public authorities. Access to a job’s data is limited to the users assigned to it within the owning organization.
Data security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls scoped to each organization and job, and audit logging of sensitive actions. Photographs submitted through the platform have embedded location and device metadata removed during processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We retain appraisal records and related information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet the workfile retention obligations that apply to appraisal practice, which are a minimum of five years and may be longer where an organization’s settings or applicable law require. We retain other information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
Electronic records and signatures
The platform supports electronic records and signatures under the federal ESIGN Act and applicable state law. Where you provide consent or apply an electronic signature, we record the associated details, such as the time, network address, and the version of the statement shown, to preserve the integrity of the record.
Cookies
We use only the cookies and similar technologies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the platform securely. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Your choices
If you have an account, you may review and update certain profile information, or ask the administrator of your organization to do so. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information, subject to the record-retention obligations described above, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by other reasonable means.
